Many moons ago, the traditional Hen night would have been a large group of girls on a mission pub crawl in fancy dress, or a visit to a club filled with hunky Full Monty type strippers. The evening usually ended with a male strip o gram or with the girls jumping up onto the stage and singing along to ‘I will survive!’ proof that a group of women together are wilder than our male counterparts!

Thankfully, things have become a little more sophisticated in the last few years. Hen nights have become Hen weekends with visits to locations abroad, with a wide variety of activities on offer. So what sort of activities do Hen parties choose these days? Well, cocktail making lessons, nude modeling sessions, paint ball wars, naked waiters (not as naughty as it sounds), pole dancing lessons, and murder mystery nights. Another really popular choice for women who want a break from their hectic lifestyles is to indulge in one or two days of being pampered with massages and facials ON THE BEACH, or a theatre break in London with a stay at a top hotel. Now more than ever Hen parties are taking the adventurous route of traveling abroad to places such as Malta and Gozo – sun soaked islands right in the heart of the Mediterranean.

Once upon a time the traditional Stag night would have been to get the groom drunk (very drunk), arrange for a busty strip o gram in a fancy dress costume, usually a police woman coming in to ‘arrest’ the groom (in more ways than one) and after handcuffing him to a chair, shake her knockers at him then proceed to take photos as ‘evidence’, on the way home, they would remove his trousers (and boxers if really mean), cover him in a mix of eggs and flour and tie him to a lamp post for all to see. He would be left pleading with his soon to be wife to keep the wedding on, after she’d been anonymously sent photos of him with another woman and told stories that he had been standing about in just his birthday suit.

But nowadays it’s a different ball game (pun intended). Like the hens, Stag nights have become Stag weekends. Crazy activities are popping up in Malta & Gozo such as climbing walls that come to you!, Deep sea fishing, Diving in some of the best underwater caves in the entire Mediterranean sea, and if people want to spend a weekend in Britain there are a growing host of outdoor activities which are popular such as paint ball wars, target shooting and water skiing. Depending on what the Stag group wants for their weekend of fun, most activities are available on a pick and mix option ensuring satisfaction for all and Adam & Eve has it all!
