Castello Zamittello
Castello Zamittello was built in 1675 with four unusual guard turrets adorning its facade to guard against sudden raids of corsairs. Later on, this was owned as a hunting lodge by the wealthy Italian Baron Bernardo Zamitt.
This superbly restored 17th century castle and its well kept lush gardens provide a stunning backdrop for wedding receptions with breathtaking views of the picturesque countryside around Mgarr and Gnejna Bay.
The Corinthia Room
The Corinthia Palace was built in 1920, on the outskirts of the village of Attard. When Maltese Chief Justice Professor Sir Michaelangelo Refalo built his Italianate villa, with its Corinthian and Doric columns, he created a series of spacious salons off the central courtyard, with two small reception rooms either side of the main entrance. In 1960, Maltese businessman Paul Pisani bought the villa to create a restaurant and began the process of opening up these rooms on to the newly roofed-in courtyard to create a high-ceiling room with two private rooms fashioned out of the reception areas.
The Corinthia Room is the epitome of elegance. The room's splendid decor and its superior standards of service and cuisine bear the hallmark of excellence.
