FLOWERS
& ALLERGIES If
a problem? There Are Flowers With Fewer Pollens
When you or your guests suffer from hay fever,
react to roses or succumb to various other floral
displays don’t exclude the guest with these
problems, most are prepared-- but if all else
fails and they are having a strong reaction to
the table display encourage the removal of the
particular blossom or the entire centerpiece for
their comfort.
Some flowers are better for your bouquets or boutonnières.
Pollen free chrysanthemums, asters and dahlias,
double flowered baby’s breath, Cecil Bruner
and Banksias roses, hydrangeas, double tuberous
begonias have little or no pollen. Remove the
anthers ahead from lilies and calla lilies. Use
camellias, orchids, pots of viola, pansies and
inpatients, bougainvillea for tables.
